Written by Engineering IT
This week we welcomed Ethan Conner into his new role as Research Technology Facilitator(RTF). Our previous RTF, Mark Hart, now serves as our Assistant Director of Research Services.
Ethan has worked Engineering IT since 2014 in User Support, first as an Assistant IT Specialist and then he moved up to Associate, Regular, and most recently, Senior IT Specialist. He has demonstrated a remarkable commitment and loyalty to the mission of Grainger College of Engineering, and now has the exciting opportunity to work more directly with research faculty and their research teams to connect them with a variety of technologies as our new Research Technology Facilitator.
One of the newest services Ethan can connect Researchers to is for advanced programming help and visualization advice. NCSA now offers Research Software Collaborative Services which is available to help Researcher or groups with performance analysis, software optimization, data visualizations and more.
Of course, Ethan will also be available to help welcome new research faculty, consult on technology needs for grant applications and plans, and help connect research groups with new and standardized services.
If you have Research Technology questions, contact Ethan Conner, RTF for Engineering IT Shared Services.
