Audio-Visual Service changes were made to improve service delivery and capacity.
Written by Engineering IT
After an internal business process analysis of our Audio-Visual (A/V) Services last summer, we've made a number of changes to improve service delivery and capacity. We have consolidated A/V focused staff into one dedicated team within our IT Operations division.
We have set regular maintenance hours to reduce impact upon classroom interruptions. Regular A/V Maintenance hours will take place from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. Monday-Friday. This schedule will reduce the impact on classroom use during the academic semesters.
Our A/V team is working on building standards for classroom A/V configurations. This work will help alleviate the support burden of variations in equipment and streamline future upgrades. We have also dedicated project management staff and will attempt to increase our team size to improve the service capacity. As a matter of fact, we currently have an open search for additional Audio-Visual Technology Specialists.
We appreciate your patience as we've gone through this improvement process. We are eager to meet the standards and expectations for our world-class Grainger College of Engineering instructors and students.
