Staffing changes and challenges during AY2021-2022 in Engineering IT.

Engineering IT Shared Services started the 2021-2022 Academic year off with 10 empty staff positions. To see our current organization chart and leadership team, visit our Organization Chart page.
We have been working hard with Engineering HR Shared Services (HRSS) to fill these positions. In March alone, we have had 3 job searches in the interviewing phases and 4 new open position posts to the Illinois Jobs board.
We recognize our ability to successfully partner with researchers, instructors, and departments depends upon filling these vital positions.
Since August 2021, we have filled 3 positions but lost 4 employees to other jobs.
We've hired
- Courtney Wright into the Applications Development team
- Sarvani Putta as a full time employee on the Data Analytics team
- Pennie Speckman to our Business Office team
Since August, we've said good-bye to
- Joel Franzen from our Infrastructure and Research Services teams
- Ying Zhu from Data Analytics
- Steve Maxwell from User Support
- Saleh Raghib from the Infrastructure team
