RESOLVED: Windows EWS Lab Computer Logon Problems

Summary: Engineering IT staff fixed the root cause for the problems that occurred today, which prevented individuals from logging onto Windows EWS lab computers.

Who: Students within the College of Engineering

What: A bug within the installer for Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 rewrote permissions to a core Microsoft directory within Windows EWS lab computers, preventing the creation of new user profiles.  This resulted in students being unable to log onto any Windows EWS computer that they haven't previously logged onto before.  A group policy object has been pushed out to correct the folder permissions.
